SustainableSG is a social enterprise with the mission to advocate sustainable living in Singapore and around the world. The founders believe that circular design is vital for a healthy and sustainable planet. We work with designers, manufacturers and consumers to create products that benefit people and the world.

SustainableSG supports and works with local designers and returns a percentage of sales revenue as royalties to their partners. They have run campaigns, events and workshops that advance Singapore’s national agenda on sustainable development. When you buy from SustainableSG, they donate a percentage of sales revenue to charities to save Singapore’s natural habitat.

The beeswax wrap packaging is the proud recipient of the Excellent Design Exhibition Award 2020. The bamboo spoons packaging is also a proud recipient of the Singapore Packaging Star Awards 2022.

Sustainable Bamboo Cooking Spoons

SustainableSG’s Bamboo Cooking Spoons set was created with sustainability in mind. They are presented in recyclable corrugated fiberboard packaging. It has a 40% reduction in material usage compared to traditional packaging, thanks to its clever tri-side design. The packaging, secured with a single brass screw, is not only sturdy but can be recycled or repurposed with a lower carbon footprint.

Unique and visually captivating in a wide variety of designs, SustainableSG’s eco-friendly products are meticulously designed by local designers, each with its own story to tell. The beeswax wraps span two collections, So Singapore and Asian Heritage, inspired by the cultural norms present in the little red dot that is Singapore, as well as the different traditions and histories that built Asia.

Through these collaborations, sustainability is expressed not only through function, but also through local creativity and storytelling. The designs help everyday products feel more personal and memorable, encouraging people to embrace washable, reusable, and compostable alternatives while celebrating Singaporean and Asian cultural identity.

Through different online and offline channels, they kickstart sustainability conversations and movements in Singapore. SustainableSG spreads the word by participating in several physical bazaars and actively using their website and social media channels.

Not only do they promote their products through the channels, but they also share articles and posts surrounding the topic of sustainability in Singapore where discuss the problem of plastic usage, tips on recycling, local initiatives and more.
